Our labels are from original family photos taken during the very early years and show important facets of the family migration to Australia in the mid 1960’s. The Pinot Grigio label is Alba and baby Roger prior to their departure for Australia, and on the sangiovese label isPasquale and his wife Angelina after settling in the Yarra Valley in the early 1970’s.
A generous but focused Pinot Grigio, pale straw to the eye, this wine has a floral nose of honeysuckle and fresh pear. The palate is generous with pear, green apple and honey evident. Texture and weight are complimented by a vein of acidity that gives the wine length and persistence.
This wine has medium to cherry red colour and the nose is a radiant perfume of raspberry and sweet and sour cherry with dried herbs, candy and spice. The palate is intense with fragrant red fruits and aromatic herbs supported by dusty, savoury tannins.
